Friday, October 17, 2014 - Maryland Heights Parks and Recreation Department will host a general trivia with free beer and soda while it last. Outside food and drink permitted. Gather up your team of up to eight friends, relatives or neighbors and join us for a night of intellectual fun. We will have ten rounds, with ten questions per round varying in difficulty. Your team answers the questions for points. At the end of the evening the team with the most points wins. $304 goes to first place, $200 to second and $120 to third. Kaylee (2) is the daughter of a Trooper "P.L." (assigned to Lincoln and Pike Counties) and is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments for an inoperable cancerous tumor near her brainstem and spinal chord. Trooper "J.P." (33) (recently assigned to St. Louis County from St. Charles County) was injured on Memorial Day weekend this year when his patrol vehicle was struck by a drunk driver while he was on a traffic stop, pushing his vehicle into him while he was walking on the passenger's side of his vehicle, causing multiple serious injuries.Trooper "J.P." is still currently out of work and has recently found out that he has two breaks to his L-5 vertebrae. It is unknown at this time if or when Trooper "J.P." will be able to return to work. Both families are experiencing financial difficulty during these trying times.
